Follow this simple list of steps to organize your own fundraiser for American Red Cross:
Steps to Start Your Own Red Cross Fundraiser
1.Decide on your Fundraiser. Individuals and small business can raise funds for the Red Cross in a variety of fashions, such as:
- Auctions
- Percentage of Sales
- Telethons
- Workplace giving campaigns
- Customer donation collections.
- Special Events
- Contests and Sporting Activities.
2. Get Approval. --YOU MUST GET APPROVAL BEFORE AN EVENT! Complete a Fundraising Proposal.
3. Plan Your Fundraiser and Recruit Volunteers, Advertise/Publicize Your Event and Follow-up with Thank Yous to Your Supporters!
Before engaging in any fundraising activity on behalf of the Red Cross, you must receive written authorization to do so in the form of a fundraising agreement signed by a representative of the American Red Cross of Central New York.
